The research looked at employee engagement, organisation citizenship behaviour and where discretionary effort sits within these.
In particular we will be looked at the drivers behind discretionary effort and how team leaders and businesses can create the best possible environment for people to want to go the extra mile.
This is a USA & UK collaboration between the Department of Organisational Psychology at New York Universty and SladenWoods.
The team is made up of a group of people who are passionate about better understanding how people work, what motivates them and how best to encourage them to go the extra mile.
In our dealings with large corporations, a number of senior executives have expressed a desire to know and understand more about the driving factors behind discretionary effort.
